Career Journey Highlights

  • Born and raised in a small town in Quebec, Canada, Denis began his career at McDonald's, cooking burgers.

  • In 1993, he graduated as a Mechanical Engineer and worked for two years at a plastics corporation, designing plastic parts for snowmobiles.

  • From 1995 to 2000, Denis worked at an IT integrator, building PCs and installing networks.

  • In 2000, after completing his MBA he began his journey at Intel as a Networking Engineer.

  • For the first 10 years, he held only two roles. He applied for 14 different positions within Intel and didn't get any of them.

  • It was a very frustrating time, and he blamed the entire world for it! He felt his English skills were lacking, and the fact that he was working remotely, far from any Intel office, might have been one of the reasons.

  • He was working extremely hard, delivering results, and meeting expectations, but nothing was going the way he wanted.

  • In early 2010, he realized that what he had been doing in his career was no longer working. He decided to study the corporate world, including all the key moving parts, functions, processes, and how people make decisions. This was when he began experimenting on himself, his colleagues, and his friends.

  • The outcome of his transformation has been staggering. Over the next 15 years, he held six different roles, including three managerial positions, with assignments in Portland, Arizona, Washington DC, and France, ultimately culminating in his role as Intel Canada's Country Manager.

Entrepreneurial Journey

In October 2024, after retiring from Intel, Denis reflected on his career and realized his passion for helping others develop their careers was still very strong. This led him to embark on a new entrepreneurial venture focused on career development. Leveraging his extensive experience, Denis aims to utilize the system he built for himself and shared with thousands of individuals throughout his career. His goal is to help people overcome common career challenges and achieve their professional goals through practical, actionable tactics and strategies.
